I have an HP OfficeJet Pro L7590 all-in-one printer. I know how to refill the cartridge, but it has a chip in it that sends info to the printer. Will the cartridge recognize that it has been refilled?

I replaced the black ink cartridge in my printer and followed the prompts in the printer box for alignment, but only completed 1 of 2 tasks. The printer declared the alignment invalid and said it would use the default alignment. It is off; I lose the bottom half of the last sentence on each page, or every alternate page, when I print. I tried re-inserting the ink cartridge, but the printer did not prompt me to do a re-alignment. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!!
