I have new cartridges ordered, they’ll be here in a few days, but i was curious, how do you change the cartridge? I don’t want to start pulling on things that i could accidentally break without having any clue! :)

Thanks in advance!

Athena

I started out with both ink cartridges full and in trying to solve the problem, both cartridges are now at least half full. Does anyone else have any suggestions? We do not have a Staples where I live and a hammer will not work–lol!! Thanks.

I used to refill them myself until I bought a new printer and discovered that the new type of cartridges are not refillable because of a built in chip or something.
Does anyone know where I can buy (other than ebay) them cheap?

Thanks for your help folks - will check them all out soon.

The printer, by the way, is an HP Photosmart C4280

I’m printing about one hundred letters a month with black ink, and I’m not sure if it makes a difference or not to print in gray scale since it’s black anyway. I need to know the cheapest way to do this with a printer that has ink cartridges. Thanks so much!!! :)

It worked well with no problems for about three days. Now, when I try to print, it says to replace with HP brand ones. These are brand new! Is there a way to trick the printer into thinking that they are HP? It will not print at all now. I really don’t want to go and spend more money when I have ones that are full in there now. HELP!

I have Epson Stylus cx6400. Since the ink is so expensive I stared using compatible third party cartridges, but every time I try to print something I get the following message:
The installed ink cartridges differ from the original Epson ink cartridges for this printer. Your printouts may be different from those printed using original Epson ink cartridges. Do you want to continue using the currently installed ink cartridges? YES or NO
Does anybody know how to turn it off, it is really annoying and I have to sit there and press YES every time. I try looking into the registry editor but to no avail. Any help appreciated.
